Program Director:
On behalf of our higher education client, Procom is searching for a Program Director for a six-month role. This position is a hybrid position with occasional travel to our client’s Edmonton office.

Program Director - Job Description:
Client is seeking a Program Director to lead the Business Technology Renewal (BTR) Program. The successful candidate will provide strategic direction and governance for transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with the client's priorities and objectives.

Program Director - Responsibilities:
• Govern an enterprise-wide program management framework with consistent oversight
• Advise on aligning program management with university strategic objectives
• Lead program definition activities with executive sponsors
• Direct planning efforts to define deliverables, strategies, budgets, and schedules
• Provide strategic oversight and mentorship to program teams and project managers
• Engage key stakeholders and facilitate collaborative workshops
• Communicate program strategies, progress, and outcomes effectively
• Monitor deliverables and adjust plans to maintain alignment

Program Director - Mandatory Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business, or related field
• PMP certification
• 10+ years of progressive experience in IT program and project management
• Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques
• Proven record of establishing PMO/program governance in complex organizations

Program Director – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Master’s degree in a relevant field
• PgMP certification
• Experience in higher education or public-sector environments
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to promote teamwork and accessibility

Program Director – Assignment Length:
This is a six-month contract position.

Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, with remote work arrangements and occasional travel to the Edmonton office.
