Program Manager:
On behalf of our Transportation client, Procom is searching for a Program Manager for a 6 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Mississauga, Ontario office.

Program Manager - Job Description:
The Program Manager will manage day-to-day escalations and operational pressures across a complex portfolio of programs/projects. The role involves absorbing "fires," unblocking delivery, and managing multiple Project Managers, enabling the Portfolio Delivery Manager to focus on strategic tasks such as forecasts, documentation, and executive-ready business presentations.

Program Manager - Responsibilities:
• Directly lead and coach multiple Project Managers, driving consistency in execution and reporting.
• Establish expectations, operating rhythms, and accountability across the PM group.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for delivery issues and operational blockers.
• Triage issues quickly, align stakeholders, and drive decisions/resolution to keep delivery moving.
• Implement and maintain portfolio governance, including integrated plans, RAID, and decision logs.
• Ensure delivery artifacts are consistent and executive-ready.
• Provide structured, concise executive-level communication.
• Support with inputs for forecasting, documentation, and leadership presentations.

Program Manager - Mandatory Skills:
• 10+ years of progressive experience in Program Management or Senior Project Management.
• Experience managing Project Managers in a large, complex environment.
• Strong track record of handling escalations and resolving blockers.
• Strong governance discipline, including portfolio reporting and dependency management.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present to senior leaders.
• Must be able to complete Transport Canada security screening.

Program Manager – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with IT/infrastructure portfolios or large-scale transformation programs.
• Experience in Airport Operations or similar industry experience.
• PMO experience in building or strengthening governance.
• PMP, ITIL, Agile, or SAFe certifications.
• Experience in Transportation operations/logistics/IT initiatives.

This is a 6 month contract position.

Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. This is a hybrid position with 3 days in the office.
