Project Controller (Junior):
On behalf of our Energy client, Procom is searching for a Project Controller (Junior) for a 36-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Charleston, West Virginia 25301 office.

Project Controller (Junior) - Job Description:
The Project Controller (Junior) will provide essential project management support services, focusing on project initiation, cost management, change management, progress measurement, reporting, and project close-out. The role involves collaborating with project managers to develop and review project plans, estimates, schedules, risks, and contractual requirements.

Project Controller (Junior) - Responsibilities:
• Review PC organizational structure and maintain staffing worksheet
• Understand overall project scope
• Review estimates and provide input for mapping to the control WBS
• Review schedules and maintain a list of project key milestones
• Maintain project time phasing for control budget and estimate to complete
• Complete requisitions for commitment of project materials and services
• Compile incurred costs reporting and variance explanations
• Update cost management system with time-phased data, contractor progress, and project trends
• Review project invoices to ensure alignment with incurred costs
• Review contractor cost and progress and provide input to estimate at completion
• Participate in HRIM and QRA meetings
• Assist in preparing and compiling detailed project cost reports, scorecards, and project scans
• Provide support to Intermediate and Senior Project Controls
• Involved in administrative project close-out activities

Project Controller (Junior) - Mandatory Skills:
• University degree or graduation from a technical college program
• 0 to 5 years of related experience
• Basic awareness of Earned Value Management, rules of credit, and progress measurement
• Good understanding of project scope and schedule management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Proficiency in cost management systems

Project Controller (Junior) – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with executing low- to moderate-risk capital projects
• Familiarity with project management software
• Knowledge of construction industry practices
• Experience in administrative project close-out activities
• Understanding of contractual requirements

This is a 36-month contract position.
