Job Description

Project Manager:
On behalf of our public sector client, Procom is searching for a Project Manager for a 14 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 2-3 days onsite at our client’s Aurora office.

Project Manager - Job Description:
The Project Manager will oversee large-scale, complex infrastructure development projects within the public sector. This role involves managing integrated project plans and implementation strategies, ensuring alignment with business requirements, budget, and timelines while promoting cost-effectiveness and compliance with established methodologies.

Project Manager - Responsibilities:
• Provide project management on large-scale, high-profile, and high-risk OPS I&IT initiatives.
• Ensure project deliverables meet clients’ business requirements on time, scope, and budget.
• Lead organizational development, strategy development, and business planning.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and integrated plans.
• Manage executive relationships and provide briefings to senior executives.
• Develop complex project budgets and manage fiscal control and accountability.
• Identify potential risk events and develop mitigating strategies.
• Establish and participate in steering committee and stakeholder forums.

Project Manager - Mandatory Skills:
• Executive-level briefing experience.
• Experience managing infrastructure development projects.
• Experience with public sector business case/funding acquisition and competitive procurements.
• Experience managing large-scale, complex, integrated project plans and implementation plans.
• Experience managing executive relationships and dealing with senior executives.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in change management.

Project Manager – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Knowledge of Project Management’s Institute’s Project Management Body of Knowledge.
• Understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies, and practices.
• Familiarity with Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related standards.
• Ability to make recommendations on the acquisition of software, hardware, and technology resources.
• Experience managing and coordinating project monitoring and troubleshooting issues.

Project Manager – Assignment Length:
The contract duration is from 2026-08-17 to 2027-10-05, with a possible 1-year extension.

ASAP.

Project Manager - Assignment Location:
Aurora, Ontario, Canada. This is a hybrid role requiring 2-3 days in the office.
