Project Manager:
On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Project Manager for a 7 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.
Project Manager - Job Description:
The Project Manager will join the Global Risk Management Transformation Office, focusing on delivering strategic initiatives that support risk transformation objectives. The role involves managing complex, large-scale business-focused projects, including regulatory compliance, process reengineering, and operational efficiency improvements.
Project Manager - Responsibilities:
• Ensure program/project milestones and schedule accurately reflect delivery commitments.
• Direct strategic projects and provide integrated management of subsidiary projects.
• Accountable for end-to-end delivery of assigned projects, including business, operational, and IT deliverables.
• Lead all aspects of the program/project lifecycle and oversee all phases.
• Provide regular communications with business partners and maintain relationships with executives.
• Ensure program/project results are of high caliber with clearly articulated scope and business benefits.
• Provide leadership, motivation, and coaching to the program leadership team.
• Chair regular program and key forums to review progress with team members and executives.
• Manage program/project budget and ensure financial tracking.
• Negotiate complex contracts with external vendors and manage vendor relationships.
Project Manager - Mandatory Skills:
• 10+ years as a Project Manager with exemplary project management skills.
• Strong expertise in the use of program/project tools (e.g., Clarity, MS Project).
• Excellent relationship management and stakeholder management skills.
• Expert presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Sound business and technical acumen with demonstrated agility in learning.
• Ability to connect programs/projects to organizational goals.
Project Manager – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Previous experience in managing projects related to Risk Management in Banking.
• Third-party risk management (TPRM) experience.
• Bilingual in Spanish (for at least one of the roles).
• Experience with model development projects (IRFS9, IRB, AIRB).
Project Manager – Assignment Length:
The contract duration is 7 months.
