Python Engineer (x2):
On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Python Engineer for a 7 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Mississauga office.

Python Engineer - Job Description:
This is a development position within the Technology organization responsible for building and supporting modern software solutions leveraging Python, microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures, and emerging AI technologies. The role will contribute to the development of Agentic AI solutions, MCP integrations, and distributed application platforms.

Python Engineer - Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, test, and support Python-based applications and services.
• Build and maintain REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven integrations.
• Contribute to development of Agentic AI workflows and MCP-enabled application components.
• Implement integrations between AI models, enterprise systems, and business applications.
• Develop reusable services and components following enterprise engineering standards.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and operational controls to ensure service reliability.

Python Engineer - Mandatory Skills:
• 2-5 years of experience developing applications using Python.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices development.
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture and messaging platforms.
• Experience with FastAPI, Flask, or similar Python frameworks.
• Knowledge of SQL and database technologies.
• Familiarity with source control, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
• Experience working in Linux environments.

Python Engineer – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Exposure to Agentic AI frameworks, MCP, LLMs, and GenAI solutions.
• Familiarity with Kafka, MQ, or event-streaming platforms.
• Experience with cloud platforms and container technologies.
• Banking, risk management, or financial services experience.
• Understanding of distributed systems, observability, and platform monitoring.

Python Engineer – Assignment Length:
This is a 7 month contract position.

ASAP.

Python Engineer - Assignment Location:
Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. This is a hybrid position with 3 days in the office.
