Job Description
Quality Engineer:
On behalf of our telematics and fleet management client, Procom is searching for a Quality Engineer for a 12 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Oakville, Ontario office.
Quality Engineer - Job Description:
The Quality Engineer will join a customer enablement team to support telematics and fleet management products. The role focuses on monitoring and prioritizing quality concerns from multiple sources, utilizing connected vehicle data to identify and resolve issues early. The goal is to drive measurable improvements to the customer experience.
Quality Engineer - Responsibilities:
• Monitor, prioritize, and drive actions to address customer quality concerns from fleet customer critical issues and business account feedback
• Take a central role in resolving quality issues tied to critical metrics
• Use connected vehicle data as a real-time source to catch early issues and prioritize improvements to traditional quality metrics
• Drive investigations and actions that deliver metrics correlated with an outstanding customer experience
• Support the creation of an up-to-date quality framework covering all connectivity features
• Benchmark internally and externally, and establish action plans on quality indicators across connected vehicle features
• Proactively identify issues and engage peer support to resolve them quickly
• Propose methods to reduce unnecessary toil and manual work in quality issue management
Quality Engineer - Mandatory Skills:
• Data analysis and reporting, including managing dashboards
• Querying and working with large datasets to test and validate theories
• Experience with embedded software, connectivity, and telematics concepts
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement
• Customer support and customer service orientation
• Data integrity and fleet management awareness
Quality Engineer – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or another scientific field
• 1+ years of experience with JIRA
• Telematics or fleet industry experience
• Knowledge of Six Sigma or quality and reliability tools such as DoE, Taguchi Methods, or FMEA
• Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus
Quality Engineer – Assignment Length:
This is a 12 month contract position.

Quality Engineer - Assignment Location:
Oakville, Ontario, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring 4 days in the office.
