Quality Engineer:
On behalf of our Insurance client, Procom is searching for a Quality Engineer for a 3 month contract role. This position is a remote position based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Quality Engineer - Job Description:
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for identifying, documenting, and executing test cases to uncover issues with new or existing software prior to launch or release. This role involves analyzing defects, translating requirements into test cases, and collaborating with developers and project leaders to ensure software quality.

Quality Engineer - Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute test plans and scripts for software products
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and release testing
• Collaborate with Business Analysts to understand requirements
• Identify and report defects, and verify defect fixes
• Facilitate test execution, monitoring, and reporting on quality metrics
• Provide training and walkthroughs for business acceptance testing

Quality Engineer - Mandatory Skills:
• Experience with Python, C#, and .NET framework
• Data testing experience with SQL, Azure Data Factory, Synapse
• Proficiency in UI automation using Selenium
• Familiarity with TFS and/or GIT, JIRA or Azure DevOps
• Understanding of the SDLC
• Ability to work independently and prioritize workload
• Strong communication skills

Quality Engineer – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience in the P & C Insurance industry
• Familiarity with Visual Studio or Visual Studio Test Professional
• Experience with CI/CD environments
• CIP designation or insurance industry experience
• Creative thinking and problem-solving skills

Quality Engineer – Assignment Length:
This is a 3 month contract position.
