Quality Engineering Architect:
On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Quality Engineering Architect for a 7 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Mississauga, Ontario office.

Quality Engineering Architect - Job Description:
We are seeking a visionary and hands-on Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) / Quality Engineering Architect to define, champion, and drive the global quality engineering strategy across multi-tier, high-throughput trading platforms. In this role, you will lead the technical vision for automated quality gates, design scalable test automation frameworks from scratch, and integrate cutting-edge AI-driven testing tooling.

Quality Engineering Architect - Responsibilities:
• Design, build, and maintain next-generation, cloud-native test automation frameworks using Core Java.
• Spearhead shift-left quality practices to achieve in-sprint test automation for UI and microservices.
• Evaluate, integrate, and scale AI/ML-assisted testing solutions.
• Architect robust API and microservice testing frameworks using Rest Assured and contract testing.
• Formulate and execute non-functional testing strategies using JMeter, Gatling, or similar tools.
• Embed automated quality gates into enterprise CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide technical direction and architectural governance to SDETs and QE engineers globally.

Quality Engineering Architect - Mandatory Skills:
• 8-12+ years of progressive experience in software development and quality engineering.
• Expert-level proficiency in Core Java and OOP design patterns.
• Demonstrated track record of building scalable test frameworks from scratch.
• Deep expertise in RESTful API testing and service virtualization.
• Extensive hands-on experience in Selenium WebDriver or similar UI automation tools.
• Solid background in performance testing and engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience integrating automated suites into CI/CD pipelines.

Quality Engineering Architect – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Prior background as a full-time Software Development Engineer (Java/Spring Boot).
• Experience with message brokers and event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with Contract Testing and Service Mesh architectures.
• Experience with Cloud native platforms (AWS, GCP, or OpenShift/Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with Security testing fundamentals.

Quality Engineering Architect – Assignment Length:
This is a 7 month contract position.
