Senior Platform Engineer:
On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Senior Platform Engineer for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Senior Platform Engineer - Job Description:
The Senior Platform Engineer will support platform engineering, software delivery modernization, DevOps transformation, and AI-enabled engineering initiatives within a large enterprise environment. This role involves partnering with engineering teams to enhance developer productivity, improve software delivery performance, and accelerate the adoption of modern engineering practices and tooling.

Senior Platform Engineer - Responsibilities:
• Support platform engineering and software delivery modernization initiatives.
• Design and implement CI/CD, automation, and DevOps best practices.
• Evaluate and implement AI-enabled engineering tools and workflows that improve developer productivity.
• Collaborate with architects, engineering teams, and platform teams to improve software delivery processes.
• Identify opportunities to streamline engineering workflows through automation and standardized practices.
• Contribute technical expertise and hands-on execution for priority modernization initiatives.

Senior Platform Engineer - Mandatory Skills:
• Strong experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, release automation, and software delivery modernization.
• Experience implementing modern engineering practices in large enterprise environments.
• Experience evaluating and adopting AI-assisted software development and engineering productivity tools.
• Understanding of practical AI use cases across the software development lifecycle.
• Strong experience with GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, source control management, and developer workflows.

Senior Platform Engineer – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with internal developer platforms, self-service engineering tools, and developer experience initiatives.
• Experience with cloud-native platforms and modernization initiatives.
• Experience working within large, regulated enterprises or financial services organizations.

Senior Platform Engineer – Assignment Length:
This is a 12-month contract position with the possibility of extension and conversion.
