Remote - Senior Oracle APEX Developer:
On behalf of our technology client, Procom is searching for a Remote - Senior Oracle APEX Developer for an 8-month role. This position is a fully remote position with candidates required to reside in Ontario.

Remote - Senior Oracle APEX Developer - Job Description:
The APEX/ORDS Evergreening initiative aims to upgrade the full technical stack for five business-critical applications. The current application suite is built on Oracle Database, Oracle APEX/ORDS, and Red Hat Linux, all of which have reached end-of-life support. This initiative focuses on modernization and cloud hosting to ensure compliance with Ontario's Digital and Data Strategy.

Remote - Senior Oracle APEX Developer - Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Oracle APEX, focusing on Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS) for backend integration and REST API development.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including data architecture, application development, maintenance, and production support.
• Translate technical system specifications into working, tested applications by developing detailed programming specifications, writing code, compiling data-driven programs, maintaining applications, and conducting unit testing.
• Resolve and troubleshoot technical issues during the use and operation of software packages, providing technical assistance for implementation, conversion, and migration activities.

Remote - Senior Oracle APEX Developer - Mandatory Skills:
• Proven experience designing, developing, and implementing web applications using Oracle APEX.
• Experience with advanced Oracle APEX features, including Interactive Reports, Charts, and Dynamic Actions.
• Solid understanding of Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS) and its capabilities.
• Strong experience working with Oracle databases, including data modeling, SQL, and PL/SQL development.
• Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Experience with full software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
• Knowledge of web application security best practices.

Remote - Senior Oracle APEX Developer – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with middleware and gateways.
• Knowledge and understanding of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards.
• Experience conducting design walkthrough sessions with project teams.
• Ability to prepare user and system documentation as required.
• Experience optimizing application performance.

This is an 8-month contract position.
