Job Description
The Opportunity:
You will be responsible for the design, build, and ongoing operations of Flextrack’s Salesforce and integration infrastructure that connects our VMS platform with client and partner systems.
This role blends engineering and operational ownership — ensuring that integrations are not only built well but also supported, monitored, and evolved with discipline and reliability.
You will establish and follow repeatable integration patterns based on existing best practices, maintain production and staging environments, and act as the operational backbone — ensuring our delivery is stable and scalable.
Day-to-Day You Will:
Integration & Platform Build
- Design, build, and deploy new integrations following established patterns for ETL, data exchange, and API connectivity.
- Extend and optimize existing frameworks to support new customer requirements and evolving product capabilities.
- Configure and maintain integration endpoints, authentication, and data flows between Salesforce, Flextrack VMS, and external systems (e.g., Workday, ERP).
- Build and support integrations and automation hosted in Azure (or comparable cloud platforms), ensuring secure connectivity, job scheduling, and environment reliability.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure integration designs align with security, scalability, and data governance standards.
Production Operations & Support
- Own the reliability and performance of Salesforce and integration environments across production and staging.
- Monitor daily jobs, ETL workflows, and batch processes; respond to incidents with structured triage and root cause analysis.
- Manage operational tasks such as job scheduling, exception handling, data validation, and controlled SFTP-based exchanges.
- Lead hypercare and post-release support efforts, ensuring timely resolution and proactive prevention of repeat issues.
Automation, Release, & Continuous Improvement
- Implement and manage automated deployment pipelines and environment synchronization across Salesforce and integration components.
- Apply DevOps and release management best practices — version control, validation, rollback readiness, and change traceability.
- Automate recurring operational activities such as monitoring, alerting, and reporting to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
- Drive continuous improvement in integration reliability and deployment consistency through process standardization and automation tooling.
- Collaborate with architecture and leadership to evolve Flextrack’s integration patterns, operational metrics, and automation roadmap.
It would be amazing if you have:
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of experience administering, building, and supporting Salesforce environments.
- 3+ years of experience designing, building, and supporting integrations (ETL, API-based, middleware, or SFTP)
- Hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, Dell Boomi, Informatica, or Azure-based integration services is strongly preferred.
- Experience implementing or supporting CI/CD pipelines and automated release processes for Salesforce or integration systems.
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT principles, data orchestration, and automation scripting for integration jobs
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python to support integration development and automation is an asset.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues across data, integration, and application layers.
- Experience managing production and staging environments, including deployment, rollback, and monitoring processes.
- Familiarity with environment automation concepts and Infrastructure-as-Code principles.
- Working knowledge of SQL, SOQL, and data reconciliation techniques.
- Salesforce certifications (Administrator, Platform App Builder, or Developer) are an asset.
- Exposure to Workday or similar ERP/HR systems is a plus.
Nice to haves:
- Experience implementing or maintaining monitoring and alerting tools for integration and platform performance.
- Background in DevOps, ITIL, or structured change management.
- Experience managing or automating workloads in Azure (or other cloud-based integration environments).
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development practices — including use of AI tooling (e.g., Claude, Copilot, or equivalent) to accelerate integration design, spec generation, test scenario development, or documentation.
The Company:
Flextrack is a cloud-based VMS designed to optimize and integrate the modern workforce. We thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where innovation drives real impact. Your ideas matter, and your contributions shape the future of workforce solutions.
