SAP PI/PO Integration Suite Consultant

On behalf of our client, Procom Consultants Group is actively seeking One SAP PI/PO Integration Suite Consultant.

The client has a project team of very experienced SAP Process Orchestration developers. The team has experience and training in Integration Suite. The client is looking for senior Integration Suite consultants to act as technical lead/advisor for the migration project. The consultant would assess the migration complexity of each interface, determine the best migration strategy, create the technical task list, identify the interdependencies, guide and monitor the work of client's integration (SAP PO) team, troubleshoot technical blockers and keep the ERP Modernization Program Management abreast of the status of the migration initiative. 

The consultant will work with the management to set up interface and API governance model for the new technical architecture. 

The client does not anticipate this being a full-time engagement. It is anticipated that most of the hands-on work will be performed by client's existing integration (SAP PO) team. 

 

SAP PI/PO Integration Suite Consultant Job Details

1. Produce weekly status reports, broken down into daily number of hours worked and by tasks, using the client’s time tracking system. The reports must include reporting on work accomplished during the period and work planned for the next period. These will be printed, signed as being correct, and submitted to the client by the Consultant. 

2. Communicate assignment status in a timely and clear fashion to the appropriate member of the Senior Management of the IT Department and other client management, staff and other contractors or consultants involved in related IT assignments, as appropriate to the specific assignment. 

3. Provide weekly updates on deliverables and impact of proposed changes to timelines. 

4. Provide formal documentation, in accordance with the client’s PMO methodologies and documentation standards. 

5. Provide mentoring and knowledge transfer to client staff on system set up, configuration and support requirements. 

 

SAP PI/PO Integration Suite Consultant Mandatory Skills

A bachelor’s degree in computer science, related field or equivalent experience. Must have experience in several PO to Integration Suite migration projects. At least 12 years demonstrated experience in developing and supporting interfaces with SAP Integration Suite. The candidate will also have at least 3 years experience in developing and supporting interfaces with SAP Process Orchestration. Experience with other SAP applications like S/4 Hana and SuccessFactors is highly desirable. As is experience with S/4 Hana implementation projects 

Must Have Technical Skills 

• Proven experience in migrating SAP Process Orchestration constructs like adapters (IDoc, SOAP, REST, File etc.), message mappings, Java mappings/UDFs, BPM/ccBPM processes into Integration Suite. 

• SAP BTP architecture and administration skills are highly desirable. E.g. design multi-cloud landscapes, set SSO and access policies, plan data models and SAP analytics cloud (SAC), define policies and roadmap, manage sub-accounts and spaces, deploy and maintain apps, manage users and roles, administer Hana and SAC and control costs and usage 

• Fluency with tools and constructs like BTP, Cloud Connector, Migration Assessment, Cloud Integration (CPI), Security Models (OAuth, SSL certificates), iFlows, Graphical mapping, Groovy script etc. 

• Proven experience in evaluating migration complexity of PO interfaces and developing a migration strategy uniquely suited to each interface 

• Proven experience in transporting Integration Suite development objects from Test to PRD instance 

• Experience in assisting the project manager with development of detailed task list, identification of interdependence between tasks and effort estimates 

Interpersonal and Communication Skills 

• Ability to listen well and communicate thoughtfully to a wide range of stakeholders, from senior management in IT and business to data entry personnel 

• Strong written communication, documentation and presentation skills 

• Good taste in visual design is important 

• Ability to solve complex and ambiguous technical problems using experience, creativity, and sound judgment 

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently 

• Demonstrated understanding of agile and waterfall implementation methodologies 

• Proven track record of delivering assignments within agreed upon timeframes
