Job Description
Scheduler:On behalf of our Oil & Gas client, Procom is searching for a Scheduler for a 12-month contract role. This position is onsite at our client’s Calgary office.
Scheduler - Job Description:
The Scheduler will support multiple capital projects, primarily focusing on oil sands SAGD projects. The role involves project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and schedule reporting activities throughout the project lifecycle.
Scheduler - Responsibilities:
• Prepare, maintain, and update project schedules throughout various stages of project execution
• Coordinate schedule inputs and progress updates from contractors, project teams, and stakeholders
• Monitor project progress against approved schedules and key milestones
• Analyze schedule performance and identify variances, delays, and emerging issues
• Participate in schedule risk assessments and schedule reviews
• Apply established scheduling standards, procedures, and best practices
• Prepare routine and ad hoc schedule reports for project teams and management
Scheduler - Mandatory Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a related discipline
• 3–7 years of experience in project scheduling, planning, project controls, or project management support
• Experience in oil & gas, energy, EPC, infrastructure, or industrial construction projects
• Working knowledge of Primavera P6 and Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Scheduler – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• PMI-SP, PMP, or AACE certifications
• Familiarity with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities
• Experience with schedule risk management
• Knowledge of schedule governance and project controls processes
Scheduler – Assignment Length:
This is a 12-month contractor position.
