Job Description

Scheduler Specialist:
On behalf of our Oil & Gas client, Procom is searching for a Scheduler Specialist for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Houston, Texas  77002 office.

Scheduler Specialist - Job Description:
The Scheduler Specialist will provide project management support services focused on project planning and scheduling. The role involves collaborating with project managers to develop and review project plans, schedules, and resources, ensuring alignment with project scope and objectives.

Scheduler Specialist - Responsibilities:
• Establish baseline criteria to plan and schedule workload for complex engineering and construction projects.
• Prepare and maintain complex engineering and construction schedules, including Level 3 - 5 resource-loaded schedules.
• Ensure project schedule aligns with company standard WBS.
• Prepare project planning and scheduling status reports and recommend remedial actions.
• Develop schedule basis and facilitate interactive planning sessions.
• Work with third parties to ensure plans are realistic and achievable; analyze third-party contractor progress information.
• Prepare schedules for commissioning and start-up.
• Determine schedule priorities in consultation with project leaders.
• Make decisions involving the planning, organizing, and scheduling of work.

Scheduler Specialist - Mandatory Skills:
• Full understanding of project scheduling fundamentals (critical path, dependencies, constraints, baselines, etc.).
• Experience with executing high-risk capital programs or projects of different asset types.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to analyze and report on project data and costs.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Teamwork and collaboration capabilities.
• Field experience in related projects.

Scheduler Specialist – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with project management software tools.
• Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards.
• Previous experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Advanced degree in a related field.
• Certification in project management (e.g., PMP).

Scheduler Specialist – Assignment Length:
This is a 12-month contract position.
