Job Description

BMO is currently sourcing for a Project Manager - Scrum Master - Senior to support the Digital Web Experience team within BMO Global Asset Management. This is a hybrid contract role in Toronto (2 days in office per week).

Role Overview:
The successful candidate will leverage their Agile expertise as a certified Scrum Master to enhance BMO GAM’s digital client experience. This role involves steering agile delivery, optimizing digital application enhancements, and aligning outcomes with strategic objectives in a fast-paced FinTech environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as Scrum Master for multiple squads; facilitate agile ceremonies and drive continuous improvement.
- Remove impediments and protect teams from distractions to foster a high-velocity delivery culture.
- Manage bi-weekly continuous release plans while championing agile delivery practices.
- Act as a trusted delivery advisor to product owners and stakeholders, ensuring quality execution.
- Monitor team performance metrics and adjust plans to enhance delivery effectiveness.
- Oversee backlog management using Jira, maintaining transparent boards and detailed reporting.
- Engage with stakeholders to facilitate backlog refinement and deliver impactful presentations.

Must-Have Skills:
- 7+ years in delivery roles, with 5+ years as a Scrum Master in complex digital environments.
- In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), Agile Standards & Practices, PMLC, and SDLC.
- Expert proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and functional knowledge of Contentful.
- Proven track record leading cross-functional teams to deliver on scope, schedule, and budget.
- Strong communication, analytical problem-solving, and influencing skills; adept in high-pressure situations.
- Understanding of global asset management workflows and regulatory considerations.
- Agile Certification (CSM®, PSM® or equivalent) required.

Nice to Have Skills:
- Advanced Agile/PM designations (PMP®, SAFe®/SASM®, ICP-ACC).
- Experience within the FinTech sector.

- Exhibits an empathetic coaching style that unlocks team performance through facilitation and trust.
- Utilizes metrics to inform decision-making and prioritization effectively.
- Comfortable in advocating for change and modern practices within legacy processes.

Qualifications

Experience within the FinTech sector: 1 - 5 years (Desired)
Scrum Master in complex digital environments: 5 - 5 years (Required)
