Scrum Master:
On behalf of our Financial Services client, Procom is searching for a Scrum Master for a 6 month contract role.

Scrum Master - Job Description:
The Scrum Master will support the Analytics Platform team, specifically the Model Ops squad. The successful candidate will play a critical role in stabilizing team dynamics, coaching new members, and fostering a positive, collaborative environment during a period of transition.

Scrum Master - Responsibilities:
• Monitor Scrum processes and support Product Owner on release planning and backlog management
• Facilitate agile ceremonies including sprint planning, sprint review, retrospectives, and daily standup
• Identify, manage, and help mitigate issues and risks, with emphasis on timely removal of impediments
• Build high-performing teams through individual and team coaching
• Foster a continuous learning environment and strengthen the team’s understanding of Agile/Scrum principles

Scrum Master - Mandatory Skills:
• 3+ years of experience in agile delivery/transformation/training/coaching
• 5+ years of IT project management experience
• Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum environments
• Certified Scrum Professional (CSP)
• Experience in facilitating Agile ceremonies and managing team dynamics
• Comfort addressing conflict directly
• Strong communication skills

Scrum Master – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Delivery or software development background
• Experience coaching development teams
• Assertive, with the confidence to be the voice of authority
• Experience in financial services or insurance industry
• Scrum Coach certification

Scrum Master – Assignment Length:
This is a 6-month contract to start.

Scrum Master - Start Date:
ASAP.

Scrum Master - Assignment Location:
Hybrid - Waterloo or Toronto (1 day per month required onsite)
