Security Automation Engineer - Splunk SOAR:
On behalf of our Financial Services client, Procom is searching for a Security Automation Engineer - Splunk SOAR for a 5-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Security Automation Engineer - Splunk SOAR - Job Description:
The Security Automation Engineer - Splunk SOAR will be responsible for developing and implementing automation playbooks and workflows to enhance security processes. The role involves working on security initiatives, deploying new security technologies, and supporting the transition from project implementation to business-as-usual operations.

Security Automation Engineer - Splunk SOAR - Responsibilities:
• Develop playbooks in Splunk SOAR using Python to automate manual processes
• Create automated workflows in Ansible Automation Platform using YAML
• Triage and remediate errors in automation environments
• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements for new workflows
• Participate in 24x7 on-call support and incident management
• Document and maintain cybersecurity playbooks and policies

Security Automation Engineer - Splunk SOAR - Mandatory Skills:
• 2-3 years of experience with Splunk SOAR
• 2-3 years of Python development experience
• IT degree or equivalent work experience with 5 years in IT
• 2-3+ years of experience in the security IT industry
• Professional designation in IT security (e.g., CISM, CISSP) preferred

Security Automation Engineer - Splunk SOAR – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with Ansible development
• Knowledge of security policies, standards, and procedures
• Familiarity with cloud security and technologies
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
• Strong communication skills

Security Automation Engineer - Splunk SOAR – Assignment Length:
This is a 5-month contract position to start.

Security Automation Engineer - Splunk SOAR - Start Date:
ASAP.

Security Automation Engineer - Splunk SOAR - Assignment Location:
Hybrid Toronto - Two days per week onsite.
