Security Developer:
On behalf of our client, Procom is searching for a Security Developer for a 3-month role. This position is a remote position with 1 day onsite at our client’s Calgary office.

Security Developer - Job Description:
The project is focused on Threat Intelligence & Security Configuration. It involves executing advanced threat emulation and testing, including penetration testing of apps, APIs, networks, and cloud systems. The role also includes designing complex red team operations to validate organizational detection and response capabilities against real-world adversary tactics.

Security Developer - Responsibilities:
• Execute hands-on penetration testing for applications, APIs, networks, and cloud platforms
• Design and facilitate strategic crisis simulations and team-specific tabletop exercises
• Govern third-party penetration testing vendors, define technical scopes, and validate findings
• Translate complex vulnerabilities into business risks and drive cross-functional remediation
• Partner with blue teams and engineering to provide remediation guidance and validate security fixes
• Author technical documentation and develop automation scripts to enhance assessment efficiency

Security Developer - Mandatory Skills:
• Web Application Penetration Testing
• Network Penetration Testing
• Experience with GCP or other cloud providers
• Documentation drafting and reporting
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Security Developer – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with advanced threat emulation techniques
• Familiarity with vendor governance and lifecycle management
• Knowledge of crisis simulation and tabletop exercise design
• Experience in cross-functional risk translation
• Skills in operational optimization and tooling development

Security Developer – Assignment Length:
This is a 3-month contract position with a possibility for extension.

Remote, anywhere in Canada working Mountain Time business hours, with 1 day per week onsite in Calgary, Alberta.
