Senior Azure Architect, AI Workloads:
On behalf of our Consulting client, Procom is searching for a Senior Azure Architect, AI Workloads for a 12-month role. This position is a remote position based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Senior Azure Architect, AI Workloads - Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Azure Architect to lead the design and deployment of AI and machine learning workloads on Microsoft Azure. This project involves creating scalable, secure cloud architectures to support business use cases, with a focus on AI platform adoption over a 12-month engagement.

Senior Azure Architect, AI Workloads - Responsibilities:
• Design end-to-end Azure architectures for AI/ML and generative AI workloads
• Define landing zone, networking, identity, and governance patterns for AI workloads
• Architect solutions using Azure OpenAI Service, Azure AI Foundry, and related services
• Design data pipelines and storage solutions using Azure Data Lake, Synapse, and Databricks
• Establish MLOps/LLMOps practices, including CI/CD and automated deployment
• Embed security, compliance, and responsible AI principles into designs
• Optimize for performance, scalability, and cost management
• Produce architecture diagrams, design documents, and reference patterns
• Advise stakeholders and mentor engineers on Azure and AI best practices

Senior Azure Architect, AI Workloads - Mandatory Skills:
• 3-5 years of experience architecting solutions on Azure, focused on AI/ML workloads
• Proven delivery of a production AI or generative AI solution on Azure
• Strong knowledge of Azure core services: compute, networking, storage, identity
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM)
• Understanding of MLOps/DevOps tooling (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions)
• Working knowledge of Python and common AI frameworks
• Strong communication skills

Senior Azure Architect, AI Workloads – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Microsoft certifications such as AZ-305, AI-102, or DP-100
• Experience with Kubernetes (AKS) and containerized model serving
• Background in a regulated industry
• Familiarity with the Azure Well-Architected Framework
• Experience with vector databases

Senior Azure Architect, AI Workloads – Assignment Length:
This is a 12-month contract position.
