Senior Azure Cloud DevOps Specialist (RQ01840)

On behalf of our client Procom is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud DevOps Specialist.  The Senior Azure DevOps will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing modern DevOps processes for applications deployed in the Microsoft Azure cloud environment. The successful candidate will have expertise in Azure, container orchestration (Kubernetes or OpenShift), and Python development.
This position involves close collaboration with development and operations teams to ensure robust, secure, and automated CI/CD pipelines, efficient release management, and rapid resolution of live issues, contributing to the organization’s digital transformation and operational excellence.

Location: Ottawa (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Duration: May 1, 2026 – May 1, 2027 (extension possible)
Clearance: Secret / CGP / Trade Controlled required
Allocation: Full-time (100%)

Core Responsibilities -Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, SAST/DAST, etc.)
-Manage Azure-based deployments
-Work with Kubernetes/OpenShift for container orchestration
-Automate infrastructure using Python + IaC tools
-Troubleshoot build, deployment, and production issues
-Ensure security, compliance, and performance optimization
-Document processes and provide DevOps leadership Must-Have Requirements -5+ years in DevOps / Cloud Engineering
-Strong Microsoft Azure expertise
-Experience with enterprise CI/CD pipelines
-Strong Python scripting & automation
-Hands-on with Kubernetes or OpenShift
Nice-to-Have Skills -Terraform / Terragrunt / Ansible (IaC)
-Automated testing in pipelines
-Experience in regulated industries (defence, aerospace, etc.)
-Azure certifications (DevOps Engineer Expert, Architect, etc.)
-Kubernetes certs (CKA/CKAD)
-Networking/security (e.g., Palo Alto firewalls in Azure) Work Environment -Hybrid model (Ottawa-based)
-Flexible hours (core: 9:30 AM – 3 PM)
-Potential for extension or permanent conversion
