Senior Business Analyst - Policy Tax
On behalf of our Consulting client, Procom is searching for a Senior Business Analyst - Policy Tax for a 6 month contract role. This position is a remote position based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Senior Business Analyst - Policy Tax - Job Description:
The client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join the insurance tax team to ensure continuity and cover for an upcoming retirement. The team is currently dealing with a backlog of work and requires assistance in automating numerous manual workarounds. The role does not require hands-on coding but demands strong technical knowledge and the ability to navigate a complex environment while aligning with the company culture.

Senior Business Analyst - Policy Tax - Responsibilities:
• Communicate with business leadership to ensure proper capture of Business Requirements
• Ensure solutions delivered meet stakeholder objectives with manual validation techniques
• Use the client's Product Delivery Framework, our internal best practices in the delivery of solutions
• Provide gap analysis and make recommendations to stakeholders on potential solutions to address business needs
• Coach new members of the team on the Product Delivery Framework
• Lead Scrum Ceremonies and the delivery of smaller initiatives, as required

Senior Business Analyst - Policy Tax - Mandatory Skills:
• Post-secondary degree or diploma and/or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years experience in a Business Analyst role
• 2+ years experience working in Scrum-based teams and creation of User Stories
• Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks or projects
• Ability to work independently and as a team member as required
• Flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Ability to build relationships across the organization

Senior Business Analyst - Policy Tax – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience in the insurance or tax industry
• Familiarity with automation tools and software
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Experience in coaching or mentoring team members
• Understanding of the Product Delivery Framework

Senior Business Analyst - Policy Tax – Assignment Length:
This is a 6 month contract position.
