Procom is searching for a Senior Business Analyst - Technology Intake for a one-year role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Calgary or Edmonton office.

Senior Business Analyst - Technology Intake - Job Description:
Seeking two Senior Business Analysts to join the Technology Intake team. These roles involve supporting the development of technology business cases and intake assessments for IT and OT initiatives across organization. The analysts will work with various stakeholders to understand business needs, assess value, and prepare initiatives for governance review and investment decision-making.

Senior Business Analyst - Technology Intake - Responsibilities:
• Facilitate intake discussions, stakeholder interviews, discovery workshops, and working sessions for new technology initiatives.
• Gather, analyze, validate, and document business needs, objectives, requirements, assumptions, constraints, risks, dependencies, and expected outcomes.
• Develop clear and complete technology business cases for IT and OT initiatives.
• Support financial analysis, cost-benefit assessment, investment justification, and value articulation.
• Prepare executive-ready documentation, presentations, summaries, and decision materials.
• Work with architecture, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and project delivery teams to confirm intake readiness.
• Maintain traceability between business drivers, requirements, benefits, and proposed solution options.
• Track initiative status, stakeholder actions, open decisions, and outstanding information required.
• Support portfolio intake reporting, demand management activities, and prioritization conversations.

Senior Business Analyst - Technology Intake - Mandatory Skills:
• Minimum 5+ years of Business Analysis experience.
• Demonstrated experience developing business cases and investment proposals.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong analytical capability.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Strong facilitation skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Senior Business Analyst - Technology Intake – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, ECBA, or equivalent Business Analysis certification.
• Experience supporting technology portfolios, PMO intake, or governance functions.
• Experience in utilities, energy, or regulated environments.
• Experience working with architecture, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams.
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project delivery approaches.

Senior Business Analyst - Technology Intake – Assignment Length:
This is a one-year contract position.
