Senior Business Analyst

On behalf of our client, Procom is currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst.

This role bridges the gap between business needs and technology solutions, independently gathering and documenting business requirements for new applications across multiple concurrent projects.

The Senior Business Analyst will oversee initiatives related to areas such as:

• Requirements Discovery & Documentation
• Facilitate discovery and requirements-gathering sessions with business and technical stakeholders.
• Document functional and non-functional requirements for new applications.
• Support business process reviews, impact assessments, and change management initiatives.
• Act as a liaison between business units and technology teams throughout the requirements lifecycle.

This role ensures new application requirements are captured accurately and independently, with minimal supervision, across a portfolio of concurrent projects. The successful candidate is a senior-level Business Analyst capable of running discovery end-to-end — facilitating meetings, asking the right questions, and producing clear documentation without close oversight.

Requirements Gathering & Analysis

• Independently facilitate requirements-gathering meetings and workshops with business and technical stakeholders across multiple concurrent projects.
• Ask probing, clarifying questions to uncover underlying business needs, gaps, and risks.
• Gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements for new applications.
• Identify and analyze business problems, define scope of activities, and support business process reviews and impact assessments.

Stakeholder Engagement & Liaison

• Act as a liaison between business units and technology teams throughout the requirements lifecycle.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to prioritize requirements and tailor communications to diverse audiences.
• Build collaborative relationships across business units, technology teams, and delivery partners.
• Use strong written and verbal communication skills to influence stakeholders and communicate progress, risks, and issues effectively.

Solution Design & Delivery Support

• Support project teams in delivering new software and capabilities.
• Design practical solutions to business problems, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
• Advise on business process improvements and facilitate effective decision-making.
• Adapt to evolving business needs during design phases and maintain up-to-date documentation.

Change Management

• Support business process reviews, impact assessments, and change management initiatives.
• Coordinate change management activities including communication plans, stakeholder engagement, and training as needed.

Senior Business Analyst Mandatory Skills

• 7–10+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role, managing a portfolio of business or technical applications.
• Proven ability to work independently — facilitating meetings and gathering requirements with minimal supervision.
• University degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Information Technology, Statistics, or Finance.
• Exceptional communication, facilitation, presentation, and training skills.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a talent for simplifying complex issues.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in Portfolio, Program, and Project Management tools.
• Solid understanding of System Development Lifecycle methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Iterative).
• Experience with Business Analysis tools, diagrams, and methodologies.
• General awareness of IT disciplines including Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, SaaS, Cybersecurity, and ITIL.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and SharePoint.
• Experience with Change Management frameworks (e.g., Prosci) is an asset.
