Sr. Business Systems Analyst - FinSys:
On behalf of our Finance & Reinsurance Technology client, Procom is searching for a Sr. Business Systems Analyst - FinSys for a 6-month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto, Ontario office.

Sr. Business Systems Analyst - FinSys - Job Description:
Our team is seeking a Sr. Business Systems Analyst to support complex financial systems and integration initiatives. The role involves bridging business and technical teams, focusing on requirements gathering, systems analysis, and solution validation to ensure data integrity and compliance in a highly governed environment.

Sr. Business Systems Analyst - FinSys - Responsibilities:
• Elicit and document business, functional, and technical requirements, business rules, and non-functional requirements
• Produce specifications, user stories, process flows, data mappings, and runbooks while maintaining full traceability
• Analyze system interactions and integration flows; document mappings, transformation logic, and monitoring needs
• Perform impact analysis and support defect/root-cause investigations
• Partner with Product, Development, QA, Operations, Security, and Architecture teams through testing, deployment, and support phases
• Coordinate with vendors on technical prerequisites
• Ensure solutions meet financial controls, audit, SOX/52-109, and regulatory requirements with complete documentation

Sr. Business Systems Analyst - FinSys - Mandatory Skills:
• 7+ years as a BSA in enterprise tech environments
• Track record delivering medium-to-large initiatives end-to-end
• Strong requirements documentation and integration/multi-system experience
• Skilled in systems, impact, gap, and data analysis
• Comfortable with Agile/hybrid delivery and working across business and technical teams
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skills
• Excellent communication with stakeholders at all levels

Sr. Business Systems Analyst - FinSys – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with Oracle Fusion
• Knowledge of financial/insurance/reinsurance systems
• Familiarity with GL/Treasury/Regulatory Reporting
• Understanding of audit/SOX/ITGC/52-109 programs
• Experience with system modernization
