On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Senior Data and AI Security Architect – Databricks for a 6-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Senior Data and AI Security Architect – Databricks - Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Data and AI Security Architect to serve as a trusted security advisor to the teams that own and operate the Azure Databricks data platform. This role involves guiding the project through all phases required to build, configure, and secure the platform, ensuring a stable, compliant, and fully operational environment.

Senior Data and AI Security Architect – Databricks - Responsibilities:
• Serve as the dedicated security advisor to the Azure Databricks platform team, data engineering, and AI/ML teams.
• Participate in architecture and design reviews, offering security risk assessments and prescriptive guidance.
• Translate organizational security policies into specific, actionable controls for the data and AI platform.
• Guide the platform team on secure networking patterns and provide security advisory support for Azure services.
• Advise on security considerations throughout the ML lifecycle and assess AI-specific risks.
• Recommend security controls for data pipelines and advise on MLOps security across the lifecycle.
• Represent the security function in platform team planning and roadmap discussions.

Senior Data and AI Security Architect – Databricks - Mandatory Skills:
• 10+ years in information security, with at least 4 years in cloud security architecture in Azure environments.
• Deep knowledge of Azure Databricks security concepts and practical experience in these areas.
• Strong understanding of Azure security services.
• Practical knowledge of AI/ML security risks and established frameworks.
• Demonstrated experience in a consulting, advisory, or embedded security architect role.

Senior Data and AI Security Architect – Databricks – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Certifications: AZ-500, Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional, CISSP, CCSP.
• Experience conducting threat modeling and risk assessments for complex cloud data environments.
• Prior background in data engineering or ML engineering.
• Familiarity with cloud security posture management (CSPM) platforms.
• Experience advising on multi-cloud security (Azure or GCP).

Senior Data and AI Security Architect – Databricks – Assignment Length:
This is a 6-month contract position with the possibility of extension.
