Senior Data Engineer:
On behalf of our financial services client, Procom is searching for a Senior Data Engineer for a 6-month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto, Ontario office.

Senior Data Engineer - Job Description:
The project involves enhancing and maintaining the data infrastructure to support advanced analytics and reporting capabilities. The Senior Data Engineer will work on data pipeline development, data modeling, and integration of various data sources into the existing Snowflake environment.

Senior Data Engineer - Responsibilities:
• Design and implement scalable data pipelines using Snowflake and ETL tools like Informatica Power Center, IICS, or DBT
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for data retrieval and transformation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and governance
• Automate deployment processes using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines
• Maintain documentation and collaborate using JIRA and Confluence
• Enhance cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP

Senior Data Engineer - Mandatory Skills:
• Proficiency in Snowflake (Snowpipe, Time travel, Zero Copy Cloning, streams and tasks, data sharing)
• Experience with ETL tools like Informatica Power Center, IICS, or DBT
• Strong Python programming skills
• Advanced SQL knowledge
• Experience with Terraform, CI/CD, and GitHub
• Knowledge of data modeling and data governance
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud infrastructure

Senior Data Engineer – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with data sharing and collaboration tools
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies
• Experience in a similar industry

Senior Data Engineer – Assignment Length:
This is a 6-month contract position.

Senior Data Engineer - Assignment Location:
Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days per week in the office.
