Senior Developer - Contractor:
On behalf of our Financial Services client, Procom is searching for a Senior Developer - Contractor for a contract role until December 24, 2026, with possible renewal into 2027. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto, Ontario office.

Senior Developer - Contractor - Job Description:
The project involves designing and implementing robust solutions for re-pointing C# .NET applications from Oracle to Snowflake. This includes modernizing the data access layer and performance tuning on the new data platform. The role requires executing the migration of Oracle database objects, transforming Oracle PL/SQL stored procedures into Snowflake stored procedures and dbt-based data transformation pipelines, while ensuring data consistency and application compatibility.

Senior Developer - Contractor - Responsibilities:
• Design and implement solutions for migrating C# .NET applications from Oracle to Snowflake
• Modernize data access layers and perform performance tuning
• Migrate Oracle database objects and transform PL/SQL stored procedures
• Develop dbt-based data transformation pipelines
• Ensure data consistency and application compatibility
• Communicate status of personal work plans and tasks

Senior Developer - Contractor - Mandatory Skills:
• Computer Science or Engineering degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 7+ years in software design and development
• Experience with .NET, .NET Core, C#, SQL, Python
• Experience with Oracle and migrating to Snowflake
• Multi-threading programming expertise
• Knowledge of Azure cloud services, including AKS, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Key Vault
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools like GitHub Copilot

Senior Developer - Contractor – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with Snowflake, including stored procedures and data modeling
• Knowledge of dbt for data transformation workflows
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like CloudBees, Jenkins, UrbanCode
• Experience with large-scale, high-performance enterprise systems
• Experience in developing financial reporting or data-driven enterprise applications

Senior Developer - Contractor – Assignment Length:
The contract is until December 24, 2026, with possible renewal into 2027.

ASAP.

Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days in the office.
