Senior Developer – MDM / TMS (Markit EDM, Azure, Spring Boot)

Location: Ottawa(Remote or Hybrid – 12 days/month onsite optional)
Duration: 14-month contract
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours/week) + potential overtime

About the Opportunity

Procom is seeking a Senior Developer – MDM / TMS to support a large enterprise client in the financial sector. This role is ideal for a senior technical professional who thrives in complex environments and is passionate about data platforms, cloud transformation, and enterprise integration modernization.

You will play a critical role in modernizing data management systems, enabling cloud migration, and improving integration architecture, directly impacting operational efficiency and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Act as a senior technical contributor within Agile/Scrum teams, delivering hands-on development and technical guidance
• Support Azure cloud migration initiatives, including architecture, integration, and post-migration stabilization
• Lead and contribute to modernization of integration platforms (MuleSoft ? Spring Boot microservices)
• Provide expertise on Markit EDM (MDM/TMS) upgrades, enhancements, and integrations
• Contribute to DevOps enablement, including CI/CD pipelines, branching strategies, and automation
• Ensure strong testing strategies (unit, integration, system) are implemented
• Support production systems, including troubleshooting, performance tuning, and root-cause analysis
• Create and maintain technical documentation, design artifacts, and runbooks

Required Experience

• 7+ years of enterprise software development experience in senior or advanced roles
• 5+ years working with Markit EDM (COTS) including upgrades and integrations
• 5+ years supporting Azure cloud migrations for enterprise applications
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot (microservices architecture)
• Experience modernizing enterprise integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft)
• Proven experience in DevOps practices and CI/CD implementation

Education

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science or related field

Nice to Have

• Experience in financial services or capital markets environments
• Exposure to data management, transaction systems, or regulatory systems
• Experience working in large, complex enterprise environments
