Senior Developer Python/SQL:
On behalf of our Financial Services client, Procom is searching for a Senior Developer Python/SQL for a 5 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto, Ontario office.

Senior Developer Python/SQL - Job Description:
This role involves supporting the migration of the Capital Market Investment Analytics (CMIA) team’s assets to client’s Snowflake and Azure Cloud enterprise platforms. The project focuses on developing a data and cloud migration framework to accelerate the migration process.

Senior Developer Python/SQL - Responsibilities:
• Develop a Data and Cloud migration framework for CMIA team’s assets to OTPP’s platforms
• Assist with the migration of CMIA team’s assets to Cloud platforms
• Maintain and improve software solutions and infrastructure for systematic investment processes
• Contribute to continuous improvement processes and develop best practices for deployment and management of assets
• Develop new solutions and enhance existing solutions for Capital Markets investment desks
• Communicate status of work plans and tasks, participate in agile ceremonies and work planning processes
• Maintain currency in technological trends and upgrade personal technical skills through research and education
• Participate in new technology investigation and make recommendations for adoption

Senior Developer Python/SQL - Mandatory Skills:
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Engineering or Computer Science
• Minimum 4 years of software design/development experience
• Strong expertise with SQL and Python
• Experience with Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle, and Stored Procedures
• Experience with Azure and AKS
• Experience with Git and Jenkins
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Senior Developer Python/SQL – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Financial industry experience
• Experience with C#
• Experience with React, Flask, FastAPI, Django
• Experience with PowerBI
• Experience with Airflow/Astronomer, DBT, SSIS

Senior Developer Python/SQL – Assignment Length:
This is a 5  month contract position.
