On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Senior Director/Project Manager, SAP HR Payroll Transformation Initiative for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Senior Director/Project Manager, SAP HR Payroll Transformation Initiative - Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Director-level Project Manager to lead the Canadian Payroll Migration Program, a complex HR transformation initiative. This multi-million-dollar, multi-year project involves migrating over 50,000 employees from a legacy SAP Payroll system to SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP), transitioning to a modern cloud-based platform.

Senior Director/Project Manager, SAP HR Payroll Transformation Initiative - Responsibilities:
• Provide executive-level leadership for a large-scale payroll transformation program
• Lead multiple critical workstreams, including data conversion, testing, and systems integration
• Oversee program financials, timelines, risks, and dependencies
• Drive end-to-end project delivery, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
• Manage and coordinate internal stakeholders, including Payroll, HR, and IT teams
• Lead relationships with external vendors and implementation partners
• Prepare and deliver executive updates and communications to VP/SVP stakeholders
• Mentor and provide direction to senior project managers supporting the program
• Facilitate governance forums and ensure workstream accountability

Senior Director/Project Manager, SAP HR Payroll Transformation Initiative - Mandatory Skills:
• 10+ years of experience as a project manager, with at least 5+ years at a senior/director level
• Experience leading large complex multi-million dollar and multi-year projects
• Experience with large software deployments or ERP initiatives
• Experience managing technology vendors and implementation partners
• PMP / PMI certification required
• Experience delivering HCM or Payroll transformation projects
• Direct experience with SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP) or SAP HR systems

Senior Director/Project Manager, SAP HR Payroll Transformation Initiative – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience in influencing senior executives and stakeholders
• Ability to manage ambiguity and competing priorities
• Proactive and strong sense of ownership

Senior Director/Project Manager, SAP HR Payroll Transformation Initiative – Assignment Length:
This is a 12-month contract position with the possibility of extension and conversion to FTE.
