Senior Full Stack Developer
On behalf of our Financial Services client, Procom is searching for a Senior Full Stack Developer for a 6 month contract  role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Mississauga office.

Senior Full Stack Developer - Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to work directly with our Fintech clients in the Spread Products space. This role involves architecting, building, and deploying production-grade solutions in collaboration with client trading, risk, and operations teams.

Senior Full Stack Developer - Responsibilities:
• Act as the primary technical point of contact embedded with client teams
• Rapidly prototype and deliver production-ready applications using Java or Python
• Balance tradeoffs between scope, speed, and quality to meet client timelines
• Own Discovery & Scoping engagements, translating business asks into technical specifications
• Produce clear technical documentation and communicate complex architecture decisions

Senior Full Stack Developer - Mandatory Skills:
• Expert-level proficiency in Java (Core Java, Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, REST/gRPC APIs)
• Strong production experience in Python (FastAPI/Flask, data processing libraries)
• Hands-on experience with Tekton/OpenShift Pipelines and Jenkins for CI/CD
• Strong database expertise across Oracle Database, MS SQL Server, and MongoDB
• Demonstrated knowledge of DevOps practices: containerization (Docker/OpenShift/Kubernetes)
• Excellent communication, technical writing, and stakeholder management skills

Senior Full Stack Developer – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Domain knowledge of Fintech, Capital Markets, or Spread Products
• Experience using Python for quantitative analytics, pricing models, or ML-driven risk tooling
• Experience with event-driven architectures
• Monitoring/Observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK/Splunk)
• Scripting/automation experience combining Java and Python within the same delivery pipeline

This is a permanent position.
