On behalf of our Financial Services client, Procom is searching for a Senior Full stack Developer (Java, Angular, Openshift) for a 6 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Mississauga office.

Senior Full stack Developer (Java, Angular, Openshift) - Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer with deep Java and Python technology expertise to work directly with our Fintech clients in the Spread Products space. This role involves architecting, building, and deploying production-grade solutions in collaboration with client trading, risk, and operations teams, focusing on the full technical delivery lifecycle from discovery to production hardening.

Senior Full stack Developer (Java, Angular, Openshift) - Responsibilities:
• Act as the primary technical point of contact embedded with client teams to gather requirements and define technical sequencing.
• Rapidly prototype and deliver production-ready applications using Java or Python to solve trading, risk, and operational problems.
• Balance tradeoffs between scope, speed, and quality to meet aggressive client timelines.
• Architect and build scalable, resilient full-stack applications using Java and/or Python tailored to enterprise financial workflows.
• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Tekton and Jenkins for rapid deployments.
• Deploy and manage containerized workloads on OpenShift/Kubernetes.
• Produce clear technical documentation and communicate complex architecture decisions to both engineering and non-technical business audiences.

Senior Full stack Developer (Java, Angular, Openshift) - Mandatory Skills:
• Expert-level proficiency in Java (Core Java, Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, REST/gRPC APIs).
• Strong production experience in Python (FastAPI/Flask, data processing libraries).
• Hands-on experience with Tekton/OpenShift Pipelines and Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline management.
• Strong database expertise across Oracle Database, MS SQL Server, and MongoDB.
• Demonstrated knowledge of DevOps practices, including containerization and cloud deployment.
• Excellent communication, technical writing, and stakeholder management skills.
• High agency, ownership mindset, and comfort operating with ambiguity in fast-paced environments.

Senior Full stack Developer (Java, Angular, Openshift) – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Domain knowledge of Fintech, Capital Markets, or Spread Products.
• Prior experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer or Technical Consultant within financial institutions.
• Experience using Python for quantitative analytics or ML-driven risk tooling.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools like Grafana or Prometheus.
• Scripting/automation experience combining Java and Python within the same delivery pipeline.

This is a 6 month contract position.
