Senior Information Security Advisor:
On behalf of our Financial Services client, Procom is searching for a Senior Information Security Advisor for a contract position.

Senior Information Security Advisor - Job Description:
The Senior Information Security Advisor is responsible for managing Information Security Risk Assessments (ISRAs) for one of our client's line of business initiatives. The role involves ensuring security risks have valid action plans and assisting with compliance matters related to Information Security while collaborating with various internal and external teams.

Senior Information Security Advisor - Responsibilities:
• Conduct information security risk assessments for business initiatives and projects
• Review contracts to ensure inclusion of appropriate security provisions/requirements
• Perform supplier/third-party risk assessments
• Advise on security best practices and provide security consulting
• Track and manage open information security risks and remediation plans
• Provide reporting on status of information security risk assessments

Senior Information Security Advisor - Mandatory Skills:
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in Information Security and/or IT
• In-depth knowledge of Information Security principles and industry standards
• Strong understanding of Information Security technologies and cloud security
• Experience performing risk assessments of cloud-based technologies
• Familiarity with contract wording and interpretation of security clauses
• Post-secondary education in a relevant field
• Professional designation in Information Security preferred

Senior Information Security Advisor – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Strong writing skills, especially in report writing
• Self-starter with strategic thinking capabilities
• Strong consulting skills and ability to influence outcomes
• Ability to interpret technical context into plain language

Senior Information Security Advisor – Assignment Length:
This is a 12-month contract

Senior Information Security Advisor - Start Date:
ASAP.

Senior Information Security Advisor - Assignment Location:
Toronto, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring 1 day in office per week.
