Senior Java Developer:
On behalf of our Government Services client, Procom is searching for a Senior Java Developer for a 9-month role. This position is an onsite position at our client’s Toronto office.

Senior Java Developer - Job Description:
The Senior Java Developer will be involved in supporting two Permissions Enterprise Platform (PEP) projects focused on permit modernization and integration with the Centralized Digital Permitting System (CDPS). The role involves both onboarding new activities onto the CDPS platform and enhancing integration between PEP and CDPS.

Senior Java Developer - Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality Java applications across the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Build and enhance applications using Java, Spring Boot, JPA, EJB, Angular, NodeJS, and modern PDF-generation tools.
• Develop and integrate robust RESTful and SOAP web services.
• Design and implement microservices architectures.
• Develop and maintain cloud-enabled solutions leveraging Azure Cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker.
• Prepare deployment packages and support production deployments.
• Implement complex business rules using IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM).
• Integrate applications with IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW).
• Develop and support applications running on IBM WebSphere and Liberty 8.x application servers.

Senior Java Developer - Mandatory Skills:
• Extensive experience across the full SDLC, including design, coding, testing, debugging, deployment, and maintenance.
• Proficient in Java and related technologies, including Spring Boot, JPA, EJB, Angular, NodeJS.
• Strong experience building and integrating RESTful and SOAP-based web services.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud services and DevOps practices.
• Proven expertise developing complex applications using IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM).
• Strong experience with PL/SQL, including writing complex queries.
• Experience developing AODA-compliant user interfaces and accessible documents.

Senior Java Developer – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with OpenText CMS APIs for metadata management.
• Familiarity with Ontario Government IT standards, including GO-ITS 54.
• Experience with Agile Scrum environments.
• Experience with technical documentation, estimation, and Kanban-based reporting.
• Experience with OPS permitting platforms or similar public-sector modernization initiatives.

Senior Java Developer – Assignment Length:
The assignment is approximately 9 months, from July 13th to March 31, 2027.

ASAP.

Senior Java Developer - Assignment Location:
Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This position is onsite, requiring five days per week at the client's office.
