Senior Lead Java Developer:
On behalf of our Financial Services client, Procom is searching for a Senior Lead Java Developer for a 6 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Mississauga, Ontario office.

Senior Lead Java Developer - Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Lead Java Developer to join our dynamic team focused on enhancing developer productivity. The project involves building and maintaining cutting-edge internal tools and platforms to empower engineering teams to deliver high-quality software efficiently. You will be involved in designing, developing, and deploying solutions that streamline workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and improve the overall developer experience.

Senior Lead Java Developer - Responsibilities:
• Design and develop web-based applications and cloud services in Angular/Java/Spring/OpenShift stack
• Work closely with stakeholders in a highly collaborative environment
• Promote and follow solid agile software development practices
• Build highly reliable, scalable, and maintainable applications
• Provide leadership in research, design, and implementing improvements to platform technology solutions
• Develop front-end web interfaces with Angular & React frameworks

Senior Lead Java Developer - Mandatory Skills:
• 8+ years of relevant experience
• Hands-on experience in building enterprise-scale highly componentized applications using Java, Spring Framework, and Docker Containers
• Proficient in industry-standard best practices such as Design Patterns, Coding Standards, and Coding modularity
• Experience working with SOA & Micro-services utilizing REST
• Experienced in RDBMS and SQL/PLSQL
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular V8+, Reactive Programming concepts (RxJs), TypeScript, SCSS, and HTML5

Senior Lead Java Developer – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with design and implementations of cloud-ready applications and deployment pipelines
• Experience with Kafka
• Experience in debugging, tuning, and optimizing UI components
• Experience working with monitoring tools OpenTelemetry, Splunk, ELK
• Experienced in writing tests using frameworks JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, RestAssured

Senior Lead Java Developer – Assignment Length:
This is a 6 month contract position.
