On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Senior Power BI Developer/ Data Engineer for a 6-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Senior Power BI Developer/ Data Engineer - Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Power BI Developer to support a Capital Measurement Reporting (CMR) Data Modernization program within the Banking domain. This role will focus on delivering trusted, well-governed, and regulator-ready analytics that support capital reporting, risk metrics, and executive decision-making.

Senior Power BI Developer/ Data Engineer - Responsibilities:
• Design and develop Power BI dashboards and reports supporting Capital Measurement, RWA, Risk Exposure, and Finance metrics.
• Translate complex capital and risk data into clear, auditable, and business-friendly visualizations.
• Build optimized Power BI semantic models aligned with modern data platforms.
• Work with upstream ETL and Data Engineering teams to ensure accurate, timely, and reconciled data feeds.
• Manage Power BI Service environments, including workspace strategy, datasets, refresh schedules, and access controls.
• Utilize Power Automate to streamline reporting workflows and data validation processes.
• Partner with Risk, Finance, Capital Management, and Technology stakeholders to gather requirements and validate outputs.

Senior Power BI Developer/ Data Engineer - Mandatory Skills:

• Advanced DAX
• Power Query / M code
• Advanced SQL
• Enterprise data modeling
• ETL concepts and performance optimization
• Documentation and audit-ready reporting

Senior Power BI Developer/ Data Engineer – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Power Automate
• Power Platform fundamentals
• Version Control (Git, Azure DevOps or equivalent)
• Python scripting
• Process mapping and operating model documentation

Senior Power BI Developer/ Data Engineer – Assignment Length:
This is a 6-month contract position with the possibility of extension.
