On behalf of our Financial Services client, Procom is searching for a Senior Project Manager – Strategic Initiatives for a permanent role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Senior Project Manager – Strategic Initiatives - Job Description:
Reporting to the Head of PMO, the Senior Project Manager leads strategic initiatives from early concept through planning, execution, and delivery. This role acts as a trusted partner to business leadership, helping shape initiatives and translating high-level concepts into structured, executable plans aligned with the client's delivery framework.

Senior Project Manager – Strategic Initiatives - Responsibilities:
• Partner with business leaders and sponsors to shape ideas into clear objectives, scope, and delivery approach
• Support business discussions and materials for stakeholder alignment and funding
• Translate business needs into structured scope, outcomes, and deliverables
• Guide stakeholders on project structure and governance while maintaining momentum
• Own end-to-end delivery, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
• Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and milestones
• Lead cross-functional teams across business, technology, and external vendors
• Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints
• Provide concise, decision-oriented status reporting
• Own change control processes, ensuring appropriate discipline and approvals
• Build strong relationships with business, technology, and vendor stakeholders
• Act as a bridge between business and delivery teams
• Influence stakeholders to adopt appropriate structure and delivery discipline

Senior Project Manager – Strategic Initiatives - Mandatory Skills:
• 15+ years of experience as a pure Project Manager with deep knowledge of Capital Markets
• PMP certification required
• Experience delivering complex initiatives for banks or fintech organizations
• Proven experience across Waterfall, Agile, or Hybrid delivery environments
• Strong track record working directly with senior business stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Senior Project Manager – Strategic Initiatives – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Additional PM certifications (PMI-ACP, CSM, PSM, etc.)
• Experience within fixed income, derivatives, or broader electronic trading/marketplace environments
• Proficiency with MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, and MS Office Suite
• Ability to structure ambiguous problems into clear, actionable plans
• Ability to influence and facilitate discussions at all levels
