Senior Security Specialist:
On behalf of our Healthcare client, Procom is searching for a Senior Security Specialist for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2-3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Senior Security Specialist - Job Description:
The Senior Security Specialist will support and deliver on multiple initiatives related to Security Governance, Risk and Compliance, and Cyber Defense Operations. This includes leading initiatives related to security strategy, security audit and compliance requirements, security governance, and security risk management procedures.

Senior Security Specialist - Responsibilities:
• Develop security policies, standards, procedures, and processes
• Lead the development of frameworks and models for select security capabilities
• Support the implementation of a new enterprise governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) tool
• Assist in the development of a cybersecurity strategy and key aspects of program development
• Conduct security assessments using tools based on NIST CSF
• Review Threat Risk Assessment (TRA), VA scan reports, and Penetration Test reports

Senior Security Specialist - Mandatory Skills:
• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience with IPC and OAGO audits
• Minimum 5 years of experience in conducting comprehensive security Threat and Risk Assessments (TRA) using frameworks such as NIST CSF, HTRA, and ISO 27001
• Experience with Information security governance and developing policies and standards
• Experience authoring executive-level reports and delivering presentations to stakeholders
• Experience in risk management models and methodologies such as HTRA and NIST CSF

Senior Security Specialist – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• 10+ years' experience in various security domains, including third-party risk management
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field
• Professional certifications in information/cyber security (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC)
• Knowledge of prevalent industry standards (ISO 27001/27002, NIST, CIS, COBIT)
• An adept team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills

This is a 12-month contract position.
