On behalf of our Government Sector client, Procom is searching for a Senior Software Developer - Full Stack - Java, Oracle x2 for a 10-month role. This position is an onsite position at our client’s Toronto office.

Senior Software Developer - Full Stack - Java, Oracle x2 - Job Description:
This role involves working on a critical government project focused on enhancing enterprise platform capabilities. The project entails designing, developing, and maintaining a robust platform to support multiple government programs and services.

Senior Software Developer - Full Stack - Java, Oracle x2 - Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, integrate, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise platform capabilities.
• Build reusable platform services to support various government functions.
• Implement service-specific connections for registries, forms, payments, notifications, and more.
• Collaborate with architects, product managers, and ministry partners.
• Convert approved designs into secure, scalable, and maintainable software.
• Provide technical leadership through design input, code review, and mentoring.

Senior Software Developer - Full Stack - Java, Oracle x2 - Mandatory Skills:
• Ten or more years of experience in designing and developing large-scale web applications.
• Extensive hands-on Java development experience with Oracle or comparable relational databases.
• Significant experience with REST APIs, RESTful web services, and microservice architecture.
• Experience with security gateways and protocols, including JSON Web Tokens and OAuth 2.0.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical and systematic problem-solving skills.
• Interpersonal and negotiation skills.

Senior Software Developer - Full Stack - Java, Oracle x2 – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with public sector projects.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of UX design principles.
• Experience in mentoring junior developers.
• Understanding of privacy and security compliance.

Senior Software Developer - Full Stack - Java, Oracle x2 – Assignment Length:
This is a 10-month contract position.
