Procom is currently looking for a Senior Special Advisor, Oracle Asset Management for our client in the public sector

Mandatory Skills

• Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in Oracle software contracting, Oracle Java baseline assessments and asset management within the Government of Canada over the past seven (7) years. Additionally, the resource must have experience providing strategic recommendations to senior management (Director, DG, and ADM levels) on contract options and procurement strategies to support informed decision-making.
• Must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience within the past five (5) years in assisting and supporting enterprise contract negotiations. The resource must also have extensive experience in establishing Oracle asset baselines.

The scope of work of the Contract includes, but is not limited to:

The Senior Special Advisor, Oracle Asset Management professional will be expected to execute the following tasks during this contract, but not limited to:

• Assess the Current Oracle Footprint
• Evaluate DND/CAF’s Oracle environment, including cloud and on-premise requirements,
• emerging needs, and anticipated business demands.
• Data Collection & Analysis
• Engage with key personnel, review documentation, and gather critical data for analysis.
• Continuously refine data collection processes tensure accuracy and identify gaps across all Oracle products, with an emphasis on Oracle Java deployment.
• Validate stakeholder data establish a comprehensive baseline for all Oracle software
• across client and server environments.
• Develop software management best practices enhance the oversight of Oracle
• entitlements.
• Implement Oracle Asset Management Processes
• Lead the deployment and integration of Oracle asset management best practices across
• DND/CAF teams.
• Oracle Reporting & Strategic Recommendations
• Provide detailed Oracle reports with actionable insights based on assessment findings.
• Develop a comprehensive report covering: 
• Contract roadmap
• License cost implications
• Asset management strategies
• Process improvements
• Policy compliance
• License & Entitlement Evaluation
• Establish a structured evaluation process quantify software deployments and license
• requirements.
• Support DND/CAF in reviewing Oracle software entitlements across all product levels.
• Oracle Java Contract Negotiation
• Lead stakeholder consultations negotiate and establish a new Oracle Java contract aligned with business objectives and cost-efficiency goals.
• Knowledge Transfer & Training
• Facilitate Oracle knowledge transfer the DND/CAF team, ensuring successful cross-training for long-term sustainability.

This posting is for a public sector assignment. Compensation will be determined through the competitive bidding process and will be within the approved rate structure for this assignment.
