Server Migration Administrator
On behalf of our healthcare client, Procom is searching for a Server Migration Administrator .
Server Migration Administrator - Job Description:
The Project Services department is responsible for delivering a wide range of IT infrastructure projects for the Health Authorities of British Columbia. One of these key initiatives is to migrate Health Authority applications from On-Prem data centers to the cloud.
As such, the Server Migration Administrator role will provide the following services:
Assist with the preparation and migration of workloads to various cloud environments.
- Provide Day 1 support for migrated workloads.
- Configure and maintain code repositories.
- Perform DNS and Active Directory changes.
- Troubleshoot end to end connectivity issues.
- Provide services on an as needed basis during regular working hours, including when activated through the on-call process.
- Support planned maintenance activities, system upgrades, migrations, and other project related activities.
- Be available for occasional after hours, overnight, weekend, and statutory holiday work as required and approved by PHSA Management.
- Hours may vary from week to week based on project requirements and operational needs.
Server Migration Administrator - Mandatory Skills:
- Advanced administration of Windows Server environments (2003, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022, 2025)
- Experience supporting enterprise cloud environments in Azure, AWS, and OCI
- Experience with Azure Arc, Azure Migrate, Azure Monitor, EC2, VPC, Route 53, CloudWatch, OCI Compute, VCN, Monitoring, and Logging, Active Directory.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, load balancing, DNS, VPNs, ExpressRoute, AWS Direct Connect, and OCI FastConnect.
- Advanced PowerShell scripting, automation, and GitHub Actions-based CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience implementing high-availability and disaster recovery solutions including Windows Failover Clustering, SQL FCIs, Availability Groups, and cloud-based backup and recovery services.
- Strong understanding of logical network and firewalling principles
- Strong Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates, CloudFormation, OCI Resource Manager, and Ansible
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills in complex hybrid-cloud environments.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with MS SQL server Administration
- Experience with identity and access management technologies including Entra ID, AWS IAM, and OCI IAM
- Experience administrating Linux Server environments (RHEL 7/8/9/10, CentOS/RockyLinux)
- Experience with Red Hat Satellite
- Experience administrating Docker Containerization
- Experience with Nagios, Orion, Lansweeper
- Certifications: COMPTIA A+, Azure Admin Associate
2027/03/31 with possible four 4 months extensions.
