On behalf of our Consulting client, Procom is searching for a Social Media & Digital Content Coordinator for a 6-month role. This position is a remote position located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Social Media & Digital Content Coordinator - Job Description:
We are seeking a creative, organized, and culturally aware Social Media & Digital Content Coordinator to enhance our digital presence across multiple platforms. This contract role will focus on planning, creating, and managing social media content to support indigenous community engagement activities on a large high-profile assignment.
Social Media & Digital Content Coordinator - Responsibilities:
• Plan, create, schedule, and publish content across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn, and YouTube
• Monitor engagement, respond to comments and messages as appropriate, and flag issues or opportunities
• Support website updates, including posting content, refreshing pages, and ensuring accuracy and consistency
• Collaborate with internal teams to align social media content with broader communications goals
• Adapt content for different audiences and platforms, including short-form video and visual storytelling
• Track basic performance metrics and provide insights on what content is resonating
• Ensure content is culturally respectful, inclusive, and aligned with organizational values and guidelines
Social Media & Digital Content Coordinator - Mandatory Skills:
• Three to five years of proven experience managing social media accounts for organizations, communities, or campaigns
• Strong working knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube, and X
• Experience updating websites using a content management system (CMS)
• Excellent written communication skills in English
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to work independently in a remote or flexible environment
• Culturally aware and sensitive to Indigenous communities
Social Media & Digital Content Coordinator – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience creating short-form video or visual content
• Graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) with Indigenous content/experience
• Experience working with Indigenous communities, organizations, or Indigenous-focused social media channels
• Lived experience, cultural knowledge, and community connection
• Proficiency in French
Social Media & Digital Content Coordinator – Assignment Length:
This is a 6-month contract position.
