Software Automation Test Developer
On behalf of our client in the automotive industry, Procom is seeking a Software Automation Test Developer to join a cutting-edge Test Automation & Tools Development team. This team is responsible for delivering software solutions that support automated testing for the latest automotive infotainment and connectivity technologies.
The successful candidate will contribute to the development and maintenance of automated test scripts, testing frameworks, and tools that support scalable and efficient software validation processes.
Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development and test teams to understand testing requirements and implement automated testing solutions
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts, frameworks, and supporting tools
• Build and maintain test libraries interfacing with the target systems under test
• Develop and maintain integrations with test management and defect tracking systems
• Contribute to software tools and features that enhance automated testing capabilities
• Participate in Agile Scrum development sprints and support team deliverables
• Troubleshoot complex software and automation issues in a fast-paced environment

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of Python development experience (full stack – middleware, frontend and backend)
• 3 years of experience Developed scripts and libraries for scripts OR Developed applications/interfaces (using Python)
• Experience with automated testing environments and frameworks (e.g., Slash)
• Experience with continuous integration systems such as Jenkins
• Strong understanding of test automation principles and frameworks
• Experience with .NET Framework
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven ability to develop creative and effective software solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with REST APIs
• Experience interfacing with Test Case Management systems (e.g., TestRail)
• Experience working with defect tracking tools such as Jira
• SQL/database experience
• Ability to thrive in a multi-site team environment with strong self-motivation and initiative

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree required
