Software Developer - API - Senior:
On behalf of our government services client, Procom is searching for a Software Developer - API - Senior for a 12-month role. This position is an onsite position with 5 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Software Developer - API - Senior - Job Description:
The project involves developing and enhancing large-scale multi-client web applications with a focus on API development. The role requires upgrading existing systems and implementing new features to improve application performance and accessibility.

Software Developer - API - Senior - Responsibilities:
• Design and develop scalable web applications using Java and Oracle or SQL databases
• Implement and maintain RESTful WebServices and RestAPI
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
• Assist in maintaining code quality, organization, and automation

Software Developer - API - Senior - Mandatory Skills:
• 10+ years of experience as a designer and developer in large-scale multi-client web applications
• 10+ years of hands-on Java development experience with Oracle or SQL databases
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with RestAPI and RESTful WebServices
• Knowledge of security gateways and protocols (JWT, Oauth2.0, SSL Certificates)
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

Software Developer - API - Senior – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with cloud-based platforms
• Familiarity with DevOps practices
• Knowledge of front-end technologies such as Angular or React
• Understanding of microservices architecture
• Experience in the financial services industry

Software Developer - API - Senior – Assignment Length:
This is a 12-month contract position.

Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This is an onsite role with 5 days a week in the office.
