Software Developer - Back End - Senior
On behalf of our Government Services client, Procom is searching for a Software Developer - Back End - Senior for a 7-month role. This position is onsite 5 days a week at our client’s Toronto, Ontario office.

Software Developer - Back End - Senior - Job Description:
The project involves critical development work ensuring compliance with PCI and WCAG standards. This is a high-impact government project focusing on integrating back-end systems with a focus on accessibility and compliance.

Software Developer - Back End - Senior - Responsibilities:
• Manage the interchange of data between the server and users
• Translate technical systems specifications into working, tested applications
• Develop detailed programming specifications and write/generate code
• Compile data-driven programs and maintain unit tests
• Troubleshoot technical problems during software package use and operation
• Collaborate with IT professionals throughout the Software Development Life Cycle

Software Developer - Back End - Senior - Mandatory Skills:
• Extensive experience in modern web frameworks: React, JavaScript (JS), NextJS, Node, CSS, Restful APIs
• Extensive experience with responsive development and HTML5
• Extensive experience coding for mobile devices
• 10+ years of experience with applications in compliance with PCI and WCAG 2.2 Standards
• Experience with JAWS, WAI-ARIA, HTML 5
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Experience in structured methodologies for application development

Software Developer - Back End - Senior – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Previous experience with web portal services
• Experience with Canada Post Address module and Government Payment Gateway
• Knowledge of microservice architecture
• Experience using Azure DevOps
• Knowledge of security gateways and protocols

Software Developer - Back End - Senior – Assignment Length:
This is a 7-month contract position.

Software Developer - Back End - Senior - Assignment Location:
Toronto, Ontario, onsite 5 days a week.
