Software Developer - ETL - Senior:
On behalf of our Government Sector client, Procom is searching for a Software Developer - ETL - Senior for a 4 month contract role. This position is an onsite position with 5 days onsite at our client’s office in Toronto.

Software Developer - ETL - Senior - Job Description:
This role involves working on critical projects related to the Bill 5 initiatives. The focus is on utilizing Azure technologies to develop complex data solutions and Power BI reporting systems.

Software Developer - ETL - Senior - Responsibilities:
• Analyze data and design semantic models
• Transform raw data into silver/gold data for reporting consumption
• Design, develop, and deploy Power BI reports and dashboards ensuring accuracy, reliability, and performance
• Review business requirements to inform the design and development of reports
• Design technical system specifications and develop detailed programming specifications
• Resolve and troubleshoot technical issues during software use and operation
• Provide specialized skills for developing data access queries
• Collaborate with data analysts to develop dashboards and other reporting products
• Support business information requirements through OLAP analytical software solutions
• Develop and support customized query applications for business analysis

Software Developer - ETL - Senior - Mandatory Skills:
• 6+ years experience with Azure technologies including Azure Databricks, Azure DataLake Gen 2
• Proficiency in Power BI development and semantic modeling
• Experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD
• Proficiency using Data Factory within Fabric to build complex, scalable data pipelines
• Expertise in designing efficient Direct Lake semantic models in Power BI using Silver/Gold layer models

Software Developer - ETL - Senior – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with government projects
• Exposure to cutting-edge Azure technologies and data solutions
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Problem-solving capabilities
• Understanding of accessible design principles

Software Developer - ETL - Senior – Assignment Length:
