Expert Software Developer (AI)
On behalf of our Financial Services client, Procom is searching for a Software Developer - Expert for a 6-month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Southlake, Texas office.

Job Description:

As a Senior AI Developer Tech Lead, you will lead AI-focused workflows across the System Development Life Cycle, working at the intersection of cutting-edge AI technology and complex financial domains to build intelligent systems that directly impact millions of people's retirement security.

Responsibilities:
• Lead AI-focused workflows across the System Development Life Cycle
• Build and implement intelligent systems in complex financial domains
• Use AI assistance for common development tasks, ensuring correctness and quality
• Mentor junior developers and act as a Tech Lead
• Design and architect systems from scratch in a greenfield environment
• Establish team-level practices for effective AI-assisted development

Mandatory Skills:
• 12+ years of professional software engineering experience with Java and Spring framework
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML implementation and production deployment
• Experience with containers and microservices in the cloud
• Experience in cloud deployment in a CI/CD model
• Experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF), AWS, or GCP
• Experience with databases like MongoDB, Aerospike, and/or PostgreSQL
• Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (e.g., GPT-5, Claude, Gemini, PaLM)

Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Masters degree in Information Technology or related field
• Knowledge of messaging technologies like Rabbit MQ or Kafka
• Experience in the Financial Services industry
• Proficiency in developing Visio diagrams and architectural documentation
• Experience with the Atlassian tool stack (JIRA and Confluence)

Assignment Length:
This is a 6-month contract position.
