Software Developer- Front End - Intermediate:
On behalf of our Government client, Procom is searching for a Software Developer- Front End - Intermediate for a 12 month contract role. This position is onsite 5 days a week at our client’s Toronto office.

Software Developer- Front End - Intermediate - Job Description:
This new Front End Developer role focuses on Java and React for a critical project involving responsive web application development. The project entails developing new features and enhancing existing functionalities on a responsive web platform.

Software Developer- Front End - Intermediate - Responsibilities:
• Designing, developing, and implementing front end code including user interface interactions
• Translating technical systems specifications into working, tested applications
• Resolving and troubleshooting technical problems during software package use and operation
• Collaborating with IT Professionals throughout the Software Development Life Cycle
• Conducting unit tests and maintaining detailed programming specifications

Software Developer- Front End - Intermediate - Mandatory Skills:
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Experience with React framework and TypeScript
• Experience with Node.js and Next.js
• Experience building and testing RESTful APIs
• Working knowledge of Jamstack Architecture
• Hands-on experience with responsive design, front-end testing, and debugging techniques
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Software Developer- Front End - Intermediate – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with Java language
• Experience with AODA/WCAG 2.0 AA compliance
• Experience with large-scale system projects
• Knowledge of middleware and gateways
• Experience with cross-browser compatibility

Software Developer- Front End - Intermediate – Assignment Length:
This is a 12 month contract position.
