Software Developer - Front End - Senior:
On behalf of our Public Sector client, Procom is searching for a Software Developer - Front End - Senior for a 6-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Software Developer - Front End - Senior - Job Description:
This role involves working on a critical project, focusing on the development of a central Special Events application. The project includes new development efforts to streamline permit applications and event safety submissions.

Software Developer - Front End - Senior - Responsibilities:
• Designing, developing, upgrading, testing, and implementing software components for the central Special Events application.
• Contributing to the development and integration of multiple sub-forms into the primary application.
• Documenting technical specifications, system designs, and integration details.
• Troubleshooting and resolving application issues related to system functionality, data integrity, integrations, and user access.
• Collaborating with parallel development resources to ensure consistent implementation.
• Participating in the planning, estimation, and delivery of development tasks.
• Working with internal stakeholders to ensure the solution meets accessibility, privacy, security, and operational requirements.

Software Developer - Front End - Senior - Mandatory Skills:
• 10+ years of experience in developing Single Page Applications using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, Bootstrap, and frameworks such as Backbone, React, Stencil.js.
• Extensive experience with API integration using REST (JSON, XML) APIs.
• Experience developing digital products that comply with WCAG 2.x AA, AODA, WAI-ARIA standards.
• Experience integrating secure authentication flows using OpenID Connect (OIDC) with PKCE.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to effectively communicate technical and business requirements.

Software Developer - Front End - Senior – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with large-scale IT applications or public sector projects.
• Experience working in a hybrid work environment.
• Familiarity with privacy and security requirements in software development.
• Experience in application architecture and integration.
• Problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Software Developer - Front End - Senior – Assignment Length:
This is a 6-month contract position with the possibility of extension.

Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote per week.
